Thank you, that was a great article about being out of work. I have felt a lot of the emotions you wrote about...I have been out of work for 3 months and my husband has been out 10 months. You do tend to lose your confidence when you apply over & over again to numerous jobs that you know you are qualified for and get no response. I have 20 years of administrative experience with major coporations, but no degree. I feel that my experience doesn't count. I know my experience and skill set would be a benefit to any company

Patrick,

This is a great article and much over due for many people. I see staying positive as a choice, and to keep looking towards the future. If some can't find a job, look at your own skills and create a job for yourself. Look at the things you have done right, help other people, and most of all get out and be with people, and make connections. You never know where these connections lead to in the future. I've been out of work now for 11 months and decided 6 months ago to go into business with someone I met at yes an OWC event. So, If I hadn't been out of work, I wouldn't have met such wonderful people and wouldn't have had the drive to get a business up and running.
